Template changes

Tonight I fooled around and changed the color scheme of my blog template. I'm testing things out to see if I want to start a new portfolio blog here at Blogger, since I can customize my template without having to pay an annual fee for the privilege as I do at a major blog platform hosting my other blog.

Unfortunately, I don't have photos to upload right now to test the "Lightbox" feature to see if that's how I want to display images. I can do that from home later.

What I need ASAP is some place I can just direct people to my photography, my graphic design, and my various Etsy shops. I'm hoping I can do that on one of the free blog platforms so I don't have to worry about webhosting just yet.

Old class is over, time for the new class!

Sunday night I turned in my final exam for CA097A, and this week we're continuing web design at Mission College with CA097B. I look forward to learning more about web design!

Here is another interesting design website I found:

http://drawar.com/

Today's post is about the iconic "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster from WWII that has become so popular but there's a lot of other posts about web design.

I'm intrigued by this other site's article about grid-based designs and how to use CSS so you don't have to sit down and calculate column widths. However, I have not studied it to see if the grids are flexible or not (in the terms of Chapter 5, ice, jello, or liquid).
